Being young is the only thing I’ve ever known and yet its impermanence seems to always hang at the back of my mind. I don’t want to forget how my world looks. Everything is so confusing and amazing and beautiful. My room is a mess and all I can see is a collection of everything I have ever loved. I want to dance all the time and cry and shout. Everything I do is bad for me but I don’t feel that yet. I wake up in my makeup and stare at myself in the mirror. I feel anxious. I'm in love with my friends. I lick salt off their hands. Im getting really good at drinking tequila. Nineteen by Night is an exploration of adolescence, a documentation of my youth and an ode to my last year of teenagehood. I created this series to look back on in case I ever forget how in love I was with being young.
